Season Summary
- Open Conference: paraded last year's Open Conference best import Michael Young of the disbanded Manila Beer ballclub, finished on top of the two-round eliminations and an outright semis slot at 10-win, 2-loss, both defeats by one point at the hands of Tanduay Rhum, the coffeemakers lost their first game in the semifinals against the hot-streaking Ginebra, again by a point, 119-118, carry a 1-2 record after round one of the four-team semifinals, swept their last three games, defeating Ginebra, 154-127, Tanduay, 131-119 and Magnolia, 114-107 to arrange a title-showdown with last year's first conference tormentor, Tanduay Rhum, the coffeemakers lost in a championship series, 4-1 as Tanduay Rhummakers, led by Best Import David Thirdkill proved far too superior for the Great Taste team to handle.
- All-Filipino Conference: the Coffeemakers, blessed with a very potent and talented lineup, regain the title that has been a trademark of the team when it comes to an All-Filipino tournament, this time, Great Taste scores a 3-0 sweep over Hills Bros. Coffee Kings, for their fifth PBA crown, Coach Baby Dalupan won his 14th PBA title, while forward Abe King was voted best player of the finals series.
- Reinforced Conference: with injuries hounding key players of the team, and the lack of quality import, first with Jeff Taylor, and then Darryl "choo" Kennedy, the Milkmasters stumbled to a fifth place finish, with a won-loss record of 6-12.
